Lone Star College SBDC hires Jan Koenig as new consultant

Jan Koenig is a new senior consultant at the Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center.

The Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center has hired Jan Koenig as a senior consultant.

Koenig comes to the position with more than 30 years of experience in finance, education and entrepreneurship.

"We are pleased to be able to hire someone of Jan's caliber. His experience will be extremely valuable to our mission, and I encourage the small-business owners in our area to contact Jan," said Sal Mira, executive director for the SBDC, according to the press release.

Koenig has a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University and has lived in Houston since 1978.

From 2003-11, he owned and operated a multilocation franchise business. Prior to this work, he held senior management positions with Nations Bank and Compass Bank.
