FAFSA workshop at LSC-Tomball to help students find money for college
Lone Star College-Tomball (LSC-Tomball) will hold a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The purpose of the free workshop is to help students find money for college. Financial aid experts will be on hand to help individuals complete the 2011-12 FAFSA form. Used by all colleges in the United States, this form determines eligibility for federal, state and/or college aid.
Those who attend are asked to bring a 2010 household tax return or W-2 form(s) to complete the FAFSA form. FAFSA applications that are submitted early in the year are more likely to be funded. Spanish speakers are encouraged to attend this workshop as bilingual staff will be available to assist them with the financial aid process.
Additionally, the financial aid experts will provide information on scholarships and other funding sources for college-bound students.
The FAFSA workshop will be held in rooms E-255 and E-258, both located in the East Hall on the LSC-Tomball campus, located at 30555 Tomball Parkway.
