College Baseball: RJ Perucki, UTSA
RJ Perucki went 1 for 2 with one RBI and was walked twice in UTSA's 8-4 loss at Central Arkansas on Thursday. Perucki graduated from Tomball High School.
A 2009 graduate of Tomball High School, Perucki was a three-year starter at shortstop and pitcher. As a senior, 2008-2009, he earned honorable mention all-state 5A, third-team all-Greater Houston area and first-team all-District 17-5A accolades after batting .405 in district play. During his junior campaign, 2007-2008, Perucki hit .355 with three long balls and 19 RBIs. Born July 7, 1991 in Miami, he is the son of Jon and Karen Perucki. He is a kinesiology major at UTSA.
